In 2012, Dave Van Hemelryk became a graduate of the Master Meat Crafter Program. Introduction of new technology and techniques through the two year program provided candidates the ability to fine tune years of experience in the meat industry. As part of the inaugural class, Department of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection Secretary Ben Brancel stated, “These meat processors are breaking ground as the very first class of Master Meat Crafters.”
